Saturday night we had the most fun we've had in a long time! We had a camp out in our backyard! We roasted hot dogs over a fire and then made smores for dessert! Our friends Jonathan & Kristen, and their 2yr old son Konner, joined us for the cookout and some fun times! John, the kids, and I camped out in the tent all night! We read some campfire stories, scary and funny! This was the first time the kids have slept in a tent outside and they can't wait to do it again!
Now I have to tell you about the awesome deal we got on this tent!! Saturday morning our friends were having a garage sale and let us put a few things in to sell. Well, we had a list of things we needed to buy this weekend, one being a tent, and the other being a tripod for my camera. Saturday morning we started hauling all of our stuff over to the neighbors for the garage sale, and there sat a tripod! Kristen was selling a couple of her old tripods. So I picked up a brand new tripod for $1.00!!! Our day was made just finding that deal, when Jonathan comes carrying out a tent. Brand new, never been out of the bag! He sets it up to display for selling, and John and I looked at each other like "Do you see what I see?!!!". This tent is awesome!! It sleeps probably 8-12 people easily!! Jonathan sold us the tent for $10.00!!!! And to top it off, the money we made in the garage sale paid for all of it!
We had an amazing time this weekend! We will definitely be camping out again! Maybe next time we'll try out at the lake along with some fishing!!!
