To Kansas We Go.....

St Patty's day the kids and I traveled back to KS to take Annie in for surgery to remove the stone that was in her bladder. We found out about a month after adopting her that she had a very large stone in her bladder that was causing her a lot of pain and also a bad infection. We gave her antibiotics, which got rid of the infection, but even on the special diet the stone was way to large to dissolve. So it was surgically removed. She did very well and is recovering very quickly. She was out by 2:30pm the same day and is already walking around and seems to be feeling much better. Check out the picture of the stone. It was so big! Poor Annie is only 10lbs and if you can imagine that big stone in her bladder :( It was taking up most of her small bladder. We are so happy that we found her and were able to help her get rid of this. I think if we wouldn't have found her when we did she probably wouldn't be here today. She's definitely found a place in our hearts and home.

The kids had a great time out at Grandma and Papa's house. The weather was in the 70's. A bit windy but it was nice. They blew bubbles, played with Tip, Sassy, and Lady (Grandma & Papa's dogs), visited my horse Cody (again, neither him nor our son Cody are named after one another! Just a coincidence!), and played in the field. They had a great time. We are planning another trip to KS, this time with daddy, in July for the holiday.
